TL 743 - B.Sc Advanced Woodwork Technology TL 746 B.Sc Construction Seven Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences are in Cork and Dublin, on 17th and 18th May respectively. These Universities are an excellent opportunity for students who are looking for a less academic and more employment-focused programme, usually with two internships, than those offered by the Research Universities. Entry requirements are six passes at Leaving Cert (inc, 2 x H4 or 2 x H5) OR a relevant QQI/FETAC Level 5. Irish students who are studying there already are finding education much more affordable than in Ireland.Book for Cork here: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/dutch-gateways-to-employment-cork-tickets-32495276246
Book for Dublin here: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/dutch-gateways-to-employment-dublin-tickets-32495570125 Over 200 Irish students are already in the Netherlands, in these universities, studying subjects such as Physiotherapy, Business, Game Design, Art & Design, Engineering, IT, Media Management, Teaching, Music and Media Management. Two of these universities are exploring the offer next year, of a degree in Nursing. Though Leaving Cert or QQI students will no doubt be immersed in revision in May, they might be interested to know that many of these universities take applications into July and August. Of course, it is an ideal opportunity for 5th years and TY’s to become familiar with these options, ahead of key decisions in the coming year.
