There are now over 1000 Irish students registered on degree programmes, taught through English, in Dutch universities. This number includes a good representation from Sligo This phenomenon is radically changing the palette of third-level opportunities available to Irish students who can now access a wide range of programmes in institutions with a very high international reputation, at a cost lower than studying at home.
Dutch universities are currently receiving unprecedented numbers of enquiries from Irish students and their families. To feed this hunger, a group of Dutch universities is coming to Ireland in a series of events, in January, offering families the opportunity to meet the universities and Irish students* who are studying there. Hear the real back-story to this phenomenon, including quality learning and support environments, student finance and the social whirl of living in the Netherlands. Importantly, though the application deadline for a handful of the programmes is 15th January, most deadlines are 1st May, or even later, so you will have time to explore these programmes before applying (and EUNICAS www.eunicas.ie can provide invaluable assistance with these applications) At this event, a group of the universities are visiting Belfast, Sligo and Dublin to speak to prospective students and their families. Register for these free events here: http://eunicas.ie/index.php/universities-news/theyre-back-dutch-universities-in-ireland-to-meet-you-in-january.html On foot of a recent series of successful OMG We’re Going Dutch events, held across the country, in Dublin, Cork and Galway)- organised by EUNiCAS - a group of Dutch universities are returning to Ireland, in January, to speak to prospective Irish students and their families, and to provide them with the information that they need to inform a sometimes difficult decision to study abroad.
