Talk to us about our full time, part time, post grad & online courses in Business, Engineering, Computing, Creative Digital Media, Horticulture, Sports Management & Coaching, Social Care , Community & Youth Development and Early Childhood Care. Our students and lecturers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about course choices and application procedures. There will be stands open throughout the day for each department where you will be able to speak to academic staff and students about the various courses and facilities on offer. We will also have a selection of talks taking place throughout the day, details of which will be available closer to the date of the Open Days. The day features lectures and tours along with a chance to meet staff and students from both the School of Physics and the School of Mathematics. For students interested in studying at CIT Crawford College of Art and Design, it will also open to visitors on Friday, 18th from 10am to 4pm and Saturday, 19th from 10am to 3pm. CIT Cork School of Music will hold their Open Day on Saturday, 19th November from 10am to 3pm. The National Maritime College of Ireland, based in Ringaskiddy, will be represented at the Bishopstown Campus Open Day.

This year we are hosting the event in seven locations, the central exhibition area in UCD O’Reilly Hall and programme and general interest talks in UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business, UCD Sutherland School of Law, UCD Newman Building, UCD O’Brien Centre for Science, UCD International Global Lounge and UCD Health Sciences Centre. Each prospective student will have the opportunity to structure their own day by self-selecting which talks, mini-seminars, and exhibitions they choose to visit. The Main Venue – The UCD O’Reilly Hall will host the central exhibition and information stands for schools, degree programmes and support services. In the Conservatory in O’Reilly Hall, we will have a Parents’ & Alumni Haven where Parents, Alumni & Prospective Students will be able to relax and purchase refreshments. UCD Student Ambassadors will offer campus tours to our visitors throughout the day. Extra helpers will be on hand around the campus and in buildings to direct visitors to the talks. The BA Visual and Critical Studies is the study of contemporary visual culture. Students learn about the production and mediation of visual culture across the fields of art, design, film, photography, exhibition and digital and print media today. The programme brings the past and present together to understand how visual culture functions in today’s world. There are modules on theories of visual culture, histories of art and design, site visits and work placements, as well as lectures from visiting practitioners who document, mediate and promote visual culture today.
