In light of the Department of Education and Skills announcement to postpone the Irish Leaving Certificate Examinations until late July/August, the University will be accommodating this change and revising its dates for CAO offers and the admission of first year undergraduate students in 2020. We will post these revised dates to our website as soon as they have been finalised.

Maynooth University – Engineering Mathematics Exam
The Engineering Mathematics Exam scheduled for April 2020 has been postponed to August 2020 in response to current measures.
Those registered to sit the exam will automatically be registered for the exam in August.

Further to the announcement by An Taoiseach this morning regarding COVID-19, Maynooth University will be closed from 6pm today until March 29th. Therefore we must postpone the Law/Criminology Taster Day scheduled for March 28th. Further details regarding the rescheduling of the Taster Day will be advised in due course.

Where: Maynooth UniversityThe Maths Entrance Exam will take place at 11am on Tuesday 7th April in Maynooth University.
The exam offers recent Leaving Certificate students who may not have achieved the minimum H4 Maths entry requirement for engineering in Maynooth University, an alternative opportunity to secure the grade (60%) acceptable to meet the maths entry requirement for MH304 (Engineering).
The exam, 2 hours in duration, is based on the content covered by Paper One of the Leaving Certificate Higher Level Mathematics syllabus.
Students are also welcome to attend the Maths Preparation Course on Monday 6th April at Maynooth University. The preparation course will take pace 10:00 to 16:00 in the Maynooth University Department of Electronic Engineering and will include lectures and tutorials on exam topics and recent exam papers.
The new Media & Cultural Studies subject in the MH101 Arts programme (group 6) offers a critical and theoretical understanding of how TV, radio, film, the Weband social media shape how we live, what we do and who we are.
The subject sits in group 6 and will be available to choose from September 2019.
