The Scholarship Programme is an opportunity for students to receive some financial assistance through third-level education and on to the CTA programme to begin a career as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). They will also be provided with a mentor from the Irish Tax Institute to support them through the Scholarship Programme.
If they aspire to a dynamic profession, one which offers top-level opportunities in business and industry at home or abroad, but require financial support to progress to third-level, then this Scholarship programme offers them an ideal opportunity to pursue a career in tax. Who is eligible to apply? Leaving Certificate students in the Republic of Ireland who are interested in a career in tax and feel they will achieve at least 420 points in the Leaving Certificate, but who require financial support to progress to third-level can apply. How do students apply? Students will be required to be nominated by a school guidance counsellor, who will be required to submit an expression of interest on their behalf by Friday, 8 March 2019. The student will then have to complete an application form which should be submitted along with a profile as to why they think they should receive the Scholarship by Friday, 12 April 2019.
