There is a change to the CAO entry process for the BA (Hons) in Applied Music at Dundalk Institute of Technology.This was previously listed as a restricted entry course with the CAO which meant that the Change of Mind option was not available to applicants. We have changed this criteria so that students can use the change of mind option up until July 1st 2018. We will hold a second round of auditions for applicants during the summer.

Start Date: 24th September 2018 Course Overview The National Print Museum seeks to collect, document, preserve exhibit and make accessible the material evidence of the printing craft and foster associated skills of the craft in Ireland. It is supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the City of Dublin Education Training Board (CDETB). It is also fully accredited under the Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland. The QQI Cultural and Heritage Studies Award is a long established programme at the National Print Museum which aims to assist people in developing the skills to seek employment in the Cultural and Heritage industry and/or progress to Further Education after the course. The programme combines theory with practical work experience offering participants the opportunity to work as tour guides within the National Print Museum and a further heritage site of choice for the work experience placement. Course participants benefit from weekly familiarisation trips to heritage sites, museums and galleries around the country. Further to this weekly workshops are provided in the traditional craft of Letterpress. On Completion Past students have progressed to employment in the National Museum of Ireland, Malahide Castle, Airfield, National Gallery of Ireland, IMMA and OPW sites throughout Ireland. Others have taken up places in Trinity College, UCD, DIT and Maynooth University either applying as mature students, through the CAO or through Access courses. The open evening gives prospective students the chance to explore the campus and talk to their future lecturers to find out about specific course information. It is the final CAO open event of the year and an ideal chance for prospective students, friends and family members to become familiar with the campus and ask questions. In addition to general talks there will be a series of information sessions will take place about student fees, grants and the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) application process. Bookings are also being taken on the WIT website for the popular Hour of Code. Other specialist talks include the Bachelor of Business (Hons) information event and engineering talks concentrating on 3D, quantity surveying and sustainable energy engineering. WIT has 70 CAO courses which include a selection of ‘common entry’ courses for September 2018.
