having renewed EAEVE Accreditation. Increased number of Irish and UK students who will join their new colleagues from Scandinavia, Germany and other places has had a very positive impact on university authorities. The university decided to adopt to Irish system and extend application process until 16th of September to allow more Irish students in their goal to become a vet. Wroclaw University of Life and Environmental sciences has delivered Veterinary through English for last 8 years and proved quality of education confirmed by EAEVE that causes interest from Irish and UK students. “Medical Poland’s efforts to open that opportunity to Irish students proved justified this year with a number of applicants and students visiting Wroclaw earlier this year. Most of them will start realising their dream of becoming a doctor in two weeks” says Artur Banaszkiewicz of Medical Poland. “We are happy to support and help Irish students study veterinary, medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy in Poland as they find unnecessary barriers at home” he adds. Demand for the programme in Ireland has been increasing with higher number of points required to get a place in Ireland as well as very limited access to clinical base. Last month, in Dublin, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, Polish Embassy in Dublin and Medical Poland provided support and warm welcome for parents and accepted students going to Poland for a number of years. New residents of Poland were provided with information on various aspects of living and studying in Poland. Current students and those who got accepted for this academic year will share their experience during the Irish Times Higher Options in Dublin (14-16.09; RDS) at Medical Poland’s stand and invite those who do not have a chance to study at home to apply and join them at a recognised university in the European Capital of Culture. The interviews for 2016/17 academic year will take place on 15 – 16th September in Dublin. Teagasc is the main provider of further education and training for the land based sector.
