We recently launched the NMCI Superyacht Division, which is open to anyone over 18 who is looking to get into the industry, and we are planning on running a course for training stewards and stewardesses early June 2018. Attached is our poster advertising this course, and we hope that you would be able to distribute this to everyone who may be looking for a new adventure! If you could also display this in an appropriate area for all to read that would be very much appreciated. This course is ideal for any young people looking to get involved in the industry, or just looking for a change of career – the work can also be seasonal, so can be used as a way to save money for college! Working on board a superyacht offers a unique lifestyle, as superyachts travel to exotic and luxurious locations - crew have good base salaries with little or no outgoings, allowing them to travel the world while saving for the future. The National Maritime College of Ireland, is Irelands only GUEST approved training centre. Interior crew can now benefit from a clearly defined training route, leading to an industry recognised Certificate of Competence, issued by the PYA. The superyacht industry is rapidly growing with 6000 superyachts worldwide employing an estimated 52,000 superyacht crew and it is estimated that a further 30,000 crew will be needed over the next decade.
