The Maths Entrance Exam is on Wednesday 16th September at 11am. The exam offers recent Leaving Certificate students who may not have achieved the minimum H4 Maths entry requirement for engineering in Maynooth University, an alternative opportunity to secure the grade (60%) acceptable to meet the maths entry requirement for MH304 (Engineering). The Accounting Technicians Ireland apprenticeship scheme, which is available online and is offered in 10 locations nationwide, will create 150 positions nationally this year. It is a funded, work-based learning scheme which sees apprentices earn at least €19,700 a year. Applications will be taken online at www.wit.ie/mathsentryexam which also has a list of FAQs and full details. LIT Maths Entrance Exam 2020Mathematics is the keystone for STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), thus many of the programmes offered at Limerick Institute of Technology require candidates’ to have a core mathematical competency. The Maths Entrance Examination for 2020 admission will take place at the Moylish Park Campus on Monday, 14th September, from 2.00 to 4.30p.m. Candidates should be present for Examination at least 15 minutes prior to start of Examination. Please note the Maths examination is specifically for applicants who have applied through the CAO for programmes in LIT. https://lit.ie/en-ie/study-at-lit/admission-support/how-to-apply/mathematics-entrance-exam-2020 Medicine and Veterinary are among the biggest year-on-year percentage increases in applications for honours degree courses (veterinary +16%). At least the same number that will go for vet studies to UCD, will go to Poland (approx. 80).
The Medical Poland Admission Office, helping Irish students with their choices abroad for the last 6 years, has confirmed that this year the application period for medicine and veterinary has been extended to 15th and 17th September 2020 respectively due to the Leaving Cert release date changing.
