Items for your attention before 1 March at 17:15: full message 79,303 applicants at close of CAO normal application deadline The Central Applications Office (CAO) normal application deadline closed at 5:15pm today (Monday, 1 February). The application figure to this deadline was 79,303. This figure does not represent the total number of expected CAO applicants for 2021, as a late application facility opens on 5 March and closes on the 1 May at 5:15pm. A Change of Course Choices facility will become available on the CAO website this Friday, 5 February, for all registered applicants. This facility can be used by mature applicants to add course choices and for applicants who have forgotten to include a restricted course on their CAO application – a fee of €10 applies. Most applicants will use the free Change of Mind facility which opens on 5 May and closes on 1 July at 5:15pm. Trinity’s CAO Webinar Wednesdays Series
They will run every Wednesday lunchtime (1-2pm) for the next 4 weeks, up until the CAO change of mind deadline. Our school liaison team will have guest staff and student speakers talking about a particular topic weekly. Prospective students, parents and guidance counsellors are welcome to attend, and will have an opportunity to submit questions before and during each webinar. Click here to register. The purpose of this e-mail is to instruct you to log in and verify that all of your information has been recorded completely and correctly on your CAO Account. Failure to follow this instruction may have serious consequences for your application. This year, the Statement of Application Record e-mail replaces the postal Statement of Application Record.

As a CAO applicant, you will be able to register change of course choices online, free of charge. If you make changes online, an acknowledgement will be sent to the e-mail address you used at the application stage. There is no fee for using the Change of Mind facility, and there is no limit to the number of changes you can make up to the closing date.
