Many challenges exist including energy production, management and distribution, sustainability, environmental monitoring and measurement and the technologies associated with all these sectors. Physics plays a crucial role in all of these areas. Physicists develop new innovative technologies for these and areas such as renewable energy, atmospheric monitoring, the green economy and many more. The importance of the energy and the environmental sectors and the roles of physics graduates within these are internationally recognised.
What are my… Career Opportunities?Graduates will find employment in a diverse range of areas including energy production, management and distribution, also in developing sustainable solutions to energy and environmental challenges, in the development of technologies for renewable energy production and energy storage and in environmental monitoring both within structures and in the open.
