This is Immersive Software Engineering at the University of Limerick. more info here Our Access to University Course is currently open for applications, applications close November 6th 2020. This Free 13 week course commences in January and is for students who achieved the minimum entry requirements for the University ( 2H5, 4O6/H7). It’s assessed similar to the HEAR scheme and applicants must meet the correct indicators, but cases are assessed on an individual bases and dependant on circumstances, subjected to meeting criteria/ providing supported documentation to outline change of circumstances. Applicants don’t need to have made a C.A.O application or have achieved the points required for their course, QQI awardees are also eligible for consideration.

LM091 Bachelor of Education in Languages – Level 8 Honours Bachelor Degree The aim of the programme is to educate teachers and equip them with the skills and aptitudes for a successful career as a languages teacher. Graduates from the programme will be qualified to teach their chosen languages at both Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate level. If you are considering a career in teaching and have a strong interest in languages, this may be the course for you. The programme is in the process of seeking recognition from the teaching council but since our other four year teacher education programmes, that share a significant amount of content, are already approved, we do not envisage any problems with this accreditation application.
Entry Requirements Applicants are required to hold at the time of enrolment the established Leaving Certificate (or an approved equivalent) with a minimum of six subjects which must include: Two H5 (Higher Level) grades and four O6 (Ordinary Level) grades or four H7 (Higher Level) grades. Subjects must include Mathematics, Irish or another language, and English. Applicants must hold a H4 grade in Mathematics. Students admitted to the programme are required to undergo a Garda Vetting process. Please note that this programme is not in the printed CAO Handbook or in the printed Undergraduate Prospectus. It is included in the course listing on the CAO website (www.cao.ie) and in the online prospectus (www.ul.ie/courses). |
