You will be exposed to what is involved in the examination and identification of plant material and how that is used in an amenity setting of the National Botanic Gardens. You will also get to see demonstrations of certain machinery used in horticulture as well as finding out about what course types and careers would be on offer once you’ve completed a certificate, advanced certificate or degree in Horticulture in Teagasc College in the National Botanic Gardens. Click here to apply … ISH Young Breeder Training commences on Sunday Feb 23rd for the 2020 season with attendance at a leg of the Showjumpers Club Spring Tour (Showjumping). This event will provide opportunity for participants to assess the competing horses with the guidance of Young Breeder Trainer Tiernan Gill and a chance to interact with some of the riders.

Where: Maynooth UniversityThe Maths Entrance Exam will take place at 11am on Tuesday 7th April in Maynooth University. The exam offers recent Leaving Certificate students who may not have achieved the minimum H4 Maths entry requirement for engineering in Maynooth University, an alternative opportunity to secure the grade (60%) acceptable to meet the maths entry requirement for MH304 (Engineering). The exam, 2 hours in duration, is based on the content covered by Paper One of the Leaving Certificate Higher Level Mathematics syllabus. Students are also welcome to attend the Maths Preparation Course on Monday 6th April at Maynooth University. The preparation course will take pace 10:00 to 16:00 in the Maynooth University Department of Electronic Engineering and will include lectures and tutorials on exam topics and recent exam papers.
