Applications are now open for the course starting in September 2018 and will close in February 2018.
Applications are not through the CAO system - we do not choose the students by any points system, we choose them because of their talent, experience and love of theatre, via an interview. The application process has been made easier - students are now able to choose their interview date and time online when completing the application form. Students are asked to meet the matriculation set out by Trinity College Dublin (six subjects, three of which must be at grade 5 or above on higher Leaving Certificate papers or at least grade 5 in the University Matriculation examination) This is a three year honours degree from Trinity College Dublin. It is a practical hands on course that starts off with an overall approach to stage management and technical theatre and in years two and three it allows students to specialise in one or two key areas eg lighting, stage construction, design, stage management, scenic arts, costume and sound Further information and online application forms can be found at http://www.thelir.ie/courses/view/stage-management-and-technical-theatre-degree Open Day at The Lir Academy is Saturday 9th December, there will be a talk on the Bachelor in Stage Management and Technical Theatre at 1.30pm and on acting at 3.00pm Everyone is invited and there is no need to book - just turn up on the day. If any school can't make it and would like a tour of the premises, please email me directly at [email protected] and we will organise this for you. Comments are closed.
