Young Irish Film Makers, with the Arts Council, are inviting all students and school staff with an interest or practice in film/animation/digital media to attend our October 31 national youth event in Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin 2. Details and registration here: http://yifm.com/ This space will provide students and schools with opportunities to learn, share and connect with other each other and professionals and practitioners for film/animation/digital (1) training, education and universities (2) festival and youth clubs, and (3) film and animation industries. Why we would love you to be in the room: We are very eager to learn more about what your school IS doing and WANTS TO DO with film/animation/digital media? Who in your school participates or has an interest in using more digital media in building literacies and engagement? What would and how would a national youth film/animation network be of use to you? What do your guidance counsellors, and your students know about pathways to film/animation primary, secondary and tertiary careers? What services and connections and resources does your school need in providing more engagement with film/animation and digital media practices? Who will be there? Why?
