IT Sligo will host an Open Evening on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:30pm
The evening will provide Secondary School Students and their Parents with a wealth of information about IT Sligo and the CAO application process ahead of the February 1st deadline. On the evening, visitors will learn about making the transition to third level, meet our lectures from all 3 faculties; Science, Engineering & Design and Business & Social Sciences, and talk to our support staff and current students. There will also be talks for mature students and Study Coach tips on making the most of your time before the Leaving Certificate. Visit us to: · Get inspiration on what to study, find out about the courses on offer, real-life projects, lab & field work and work experience opportunities. · Find out about the personalised experience you get at IT Sligo. · Learn about how to apply and what grants & supports are available. · Speak to our Lecturers 1 -2 -1 to find out all about what you will study on the courses. · Meet our support staff who provide students with a variety of support from learning supports to medical services. · Listen to local employers talk about the employability of our graduates & discover the jobs opportunities. · Hear about our graduate success stories and where a qualification from IT Sligo can bring you. · There will be a presentation for Mature Students to give you all the information you need to go to college. · Talk to our local ETB office to learn more about Apprenticeship opportunities · Meet local accommodation providers surrounding our campus. · We will be joined by Study Coach Sean Lally, who will give you tips on making the most of your time as you prepare for the Leaving Certificate. What can I expect from the NCI Open Day? With taster classes, course stands, and competitions throughout the day, the event promises to be not only educational but also a whole lot of fun.
