On Wednesday October 9th we will hold an Open Evening for students who are interested in pursuing a degree in business. The evening is an opportunity for interested students to talk to lecturers, support staff, careers advisers and students about what life as a UCD student is like.
We will welcome students and parents from 6.00 PM in the School with a full range of talks beginning at 6.30. The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science are hosting two Information Evenings taking place in Kilkenny and Cork in the coming weeks.
The first will take place on Wednesday 23rd November in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, followed by the second event in the Clarion Hotel, Cork Cityon Wednesday 30th November. Both events will begin at 7.30pm. The event aims to provide an overview of the 12 undergraduate entry pathways available to students entering UCD in September 2017. Information on entry requirements, career opportunities and subject choices will also be presented by UCD staff members and recent graduates and will be followed by complimentary refreshments and a Q&A session. This year we are hosting the event in seven locations, the central exhibition area in UCD O’Reilly Hall and programme and general interest talks in UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business, UCD Sutherland School of Law, UCD Newman Building, UCD O’Brien Centre for Science, UCD International Global Lounge and UCD Health Sciences Centre. Each prospective student will have the opportunity to structure their own day by self-selecting which talks, mini-seminars, and exhibitions they choose to visit. The Main Venue – The UCD O’Reilly Hall will host the central exhibition and information stands for schools, degree programmes and support services. In the Conservatory in O’Reilly Hall, we will have a Parents’ & Alumni Haven where Parents, Alumni & Prospective Students will be able to relax and purchase refreshments. UCD Student Ambassadors will offer campus tours to our visitors throughout the day. Extra helpers will be on hand around the campus and in buildings to direct visitors to the talks.
